This is my 1st time trying this place off of a flyer mailed to me and am happy with the results. I'm glad I didn't read the reviews ahead of time or I my have skipped this one. I placed an order to go by phone and agree the lady was blunt and without much etiquette, but I'm used to that having Chinese parents that communicate in a similar manner, lol. It took about 3o minutes to deliver which is what she quoted me, by a pleasant young guy. She got all my special requests right, like extra spicy, no baby corn and white sauce instead of brown sauce. And no items were missing. I am on a no sugar nor starchy carb diet so I ordered ckicken with snow peas and curry chicken. Everything was fresh and plentiful...lots of meat and veggies! I didn't taste even a hint of sugar and it was well seasoned with spices and just the right amount of salt. \ If I was into sweet , corn starch gooped saucy dishes or fried appetizers, I don't know if I would feel the same about this place. But for my simple, health oriented taste buds, it's perfect!

I only give this place one star because you have no choice. As I was ordering I saw one of the guys in the kitchen drinking from a ladle, from the sink, spitting it out and the proceeded to blow his nose in the sink. I love Chinese food. Someone please tell me a good place.

I tried this place because a previous review. stated they have an authentic Chinese menu that you have to ask for. Well I called up and to my disappointment it is not offered. I asked if they make Mandarin food. NO. Their food is ok.

Typical Chinese take out. The place is clean, food is pretty good. They go a little heavy on the sauces. Steamed chicken is pretty good.

Awesome authentic Chinese food . I would encourage anyone to ask specifically for the Chines language menu - it is subtitled in English. Try the beef noodle soup - Chinese dumplings and ginger sauce - fish soup . All good choices from an extensive menu.

I'm from Pennsylvania where I could alway get amazing asian food in Philadelphia's Chinatown. This place comes the closest to this type of food that I have found in Florida. Unfortunately there are some people who don't know what good Asian food is and gave this place a lower review. I personally feel that they don't have a good Northern palate that comes from eating diverse types of foods. If you want a true big City review go by mine. The rice is perfect and sticky. Excellent spices. Excellent food and great, friendly staff.

Ahh.. Lets see. Again I find myself looking for some. Good Chinese American cuisine. So I end up at China Taste. Order would be ready in 10 minutes. Typical. The food was hot and fresh. The shrimp rolls were very good and my beef and broccoli combo was very good. I will be going again.

Amazing food. We always get the roast pork fried rice and deep fried chicken wings. The sweet and sour chicken and sesame chicken isn't bad either. We are regulars.

I'm trying to find an excellent Chinese take-out place in the Palm Harbor area, and haven't had much success. So I'm working my way through all the Yelp listings I haven't tried yet. I stopped in for supper at China Taste with a family member after receiving a flyer on my doorstep from them. China Taste is located in the Boot Ranch shopping center between Target and Publix. The dining room has a few tables available for eating-in, and the room was clean and neat. Order taking was prompt, and the food arrived quickly. I ordered a chicken & shrimp with broccoli special, and switched the pork fried rice to chicken, and my guest ordered a standard chicken and broccoli combo meal. I added egg roll and wonton soup, and my guest's combo came with egg roll. As for the food, I found it uninspiring. In other cities I usually find it hard to be disappointed with Chinese take-out food. I'm not sure why, but I've found very few really good places in the Clearwater/Palm Harbor area, with the average place here below most other cities I've lived/spent time in. I say all of that to emphasize my expectations here for Chinese take-out are pretty low. But China Taste failed to meet even these lowered expectations. I found the wonton soup flavorful, but nothing remarkable. The egg roll was a bit overdone, and had very little flavor. The chicken fried rice was bland and lacked any significant flavors or seasonings. On balance, the chicken & shrimp and broccoli flavors were a bit better and well-cooked, but nothing to rave about. As for value, the portions for everything were ample, and I was only able to eat about half of my meal. When the food is great, it's a bonus to take home leftovers. When the food is not so great and the leftovers got thrown away, it simply makes the meal more expensive. I won't be going back to China Taste, and that was echoed by my guest. My scores, on my "Chinese-take-out" scale : Atmosphere: 3 Service: 4 Food: 2 Value: 2 I'm moving on my next target, Big Bok Choy Bistro on Tampa Rd. in Oldsmar.

Not only was my delivery order wrong but it wasn't any good. The fried rice was the remade bright yellow kind. I have found better Chinese places in the area, I only tired china taste because of the flyer left on my door.

For strip mall chinese takeout I think this place is as good as you are going to find in this area. Though the name "China Taste" isn't original, this one should not be confused with the rest. They do have their own sauces (tangerine, cilantro, etc) with their own flavor profiles unique to this establishment. Only complaint I have is one time I ordered veggie fried rice and it had pork in it, i don't eat pork so had to pass that dish off to my better half and go without rice that night. It was a bummer but I can't say this doesn't happen frequently across the board with chinese take out. If you want to take it up a notch there are dine in full restaurants in the area that you can go to, but for strip mall take out / delivery you can only set your expectations so high. This place, in our opinion, is head and shoulders above the rest. The food has always been fresh, they show creativity in their signature dishes and also offer traditional dishes like scallion pancakes you don't frequently find at a take away joint.

This place SUCKED. My friend and I tried to order food for delivery, and we were staying at the condo complex literally right across the street from them so we figured that they delivered here all the time. So we placed it for delivery, and they couldn't find where we were! The driver called me and said he was outside, so we went outside and he wasn't there. So I called him back and tried to explain to him where we were and he just wasn't listening! He just kept saying yea ok or just totally ignored me! And at 1 point I hear him knocking on some door and I said whatever door you're knocking on is not ours because we are OUTSIDE. And he was just so rude and impatient so I called back the main restaurant and the lady answered just saying hello... So at first I wasn't even sure it was the restaurant! Definitely not how you're supposed to answer the phone at work... And I just ended up telling them to bring the food back and we'll pick it up. So we did and the lady was very rude, and the food wasn't even that good! It was HORRIBLE!!!! Definitely NOT worth the trouble. UGH. It made me so mad. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE EVER.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
